Free Faculty Music Recital Kicks Off New Season of Music Department Performances

Frank C. Smith Recital Hall in Bellamah Music Building site of show September 2 at 8 p.m.

An eclectic selection of pieces performed on saxophone, bass clarinet, flute and piano make up the first performance from the music department of Texas A&M University-Kingsville for 2009-2010.

A Music Faculty Recital is scheduled for Wednesday, September 2, at 8 p.m. in the Frank C. Smith Recital Hall of the Bellamah Music Building.

Admission is free.

Bellamah Music Building is located on Engineering Avenue next to Jones Auditorium.
Recital performers include music department members James Warth, associate professor; Dr. Naomi Seidman, assistant professor; and Dr. Joachim Reinhuber, assistant professor.

Pieces to be performed will be:
“Air and Scherzo” by Henry Cowell
“God Bless the Child” by Billie Holiday
“Summer Trio by Peter Schickele
“Epitaph de Jean Harlow” by Charles Koechlin
“Fantaisie Pastorale Hongroise” by Franz Doppler
“Four Piano Blues” by Aaron Copland
