The Kingsville Symphony Orchestra (KSO) will present a Patriotic Concert to celebrate Independence Day and to honor our military at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 4, in Jones Auditorium, 855 N. Armstrong, on the Texas A&M University-Kingsville campus.
The program will feature a selection of patriotic pieces appropriate for the day. It will conclude with a reprise of last year's crowd pleaser, Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture and an accompanying virtual fireworks display.
In honor of their service to the country, the Kingsville Symphony Orchestra invites enlisted military personnel and veterans to be honored guests. They will be admitted free to the concert. Their guests may buy tickets at the door or from Shirley Lei at NAS Kingsville. The prices (depending upon the seat) are $30, $20, $10 and $5. During the Armed Forces Salute, each branch of the military will be asked to stand when their appropriate anthem is played.
Tickets for all concert goers may be purchased at the door or in advance from the Kingsville Convention and Visitors Bureau at 361-592-8516 or the Texas A&M-Kingsville music department at 361-593-2803. For additional concert information, please contact Nancy KingSanders, KSO Board President, at 361-593-2157 or check out the website at www.kingsvillesymphony.org.
