The American Cancer Society is looking for teams to participate in the 10th Annual Relay for Life to be held at 7 p.m. Friday, April 24, and ending at 7 a.m. Saturday, April 25. This year’s walk will be at the Javelina Stadium at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
The teams should be made up of 10 or more members that will take turns walking their laps during the scheduled times. Each team shall have one member on the track at all times. The relay is an all night camp-out filled with friends, fun, games, music, tears and laughter.
Awards will be given for Most Laps Walked, Best Campsite, Most Spirited Team and more. Cancer survivors will take the first ceremonial lap at 7 p.m., and those who lost their fight against cancer or are currently fighting the disease will be honored during the luminaria ceremony at 9 p.m.
