CONNER MUSEUM EXHIBIT- A CELEBRATION OF QUILTS 2016: A HERITAGE OF TEXAS QUILTS Featuring the contributions of the Kingsville Saturday Quilters, this exhibit features both quilts completed by members as well as older quilts that have been passed down through their families. Also featured will be members’ interpretation of the Saturday Quilters’ Challenge Theme, “Texas Quilts” that embody the spirit of Texas. The Conner Museum is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free. For more information, call 361-593-2810.

Saturday, January 23 CHINESE NEW YEAR CHILDREN’S MUSIC CAMP FOR TEACHERS Area educators are invited to learn traditional Chinese New Year celebration songs and dances to take back to their classrooms during a special training opportunity 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in Rehearsal Hall #106 in the Bellamah Music Building. The demonstration is free to American Orff-Schulwerk Association members. A participation fee for non-members is $10. No music experience is required.
