REGISTRATION FOR COLLEGE FOR KIDS Go to the Texas A&M-Kingsville Center for Continuing Education website at tamuk.edu/continuinged for more information on the three-week summer education program for children ages seven through 15 years old.

Tuesday, June 9 through Thursday, July 16 CAMP CONNER Registration is open for this summer program for children ages six through 12, held by the Conner Museum. Campers will have an opportunity to perform science experiments, participate in scavenger hunts and make a variety of crafts using paint, beads, wood and other art supplies. Wednesday, July 1 VOLLEYBALL SUMMER CAMP-BEGINNERS CAMP Camp time is 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the Steinke Physical Education Center. Campers will be grouped by level of athleticism, experience and age. The camp staff will focus on developing volleyball skills in a fun and energetic environment. Registration is $55, with lunch and snack provided. Thursday, July 2 - Sunday, July 5 VOLLEYBALL SUMMER CAMP-ALL-SKILLS CAMP Camp times are 2 p.m.-6 p.m. July 2, and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. July 3-5, at the Steinke Physical Education Center. Campers must be 11 years old or more to participate. Campers will be grouped by level of athleticism, experience and age into Elite, Intermediate, or Beginner levels. The focus will be to develop all volleyball skills in a fun and energetic environment. Campers will also compete in competitive games.  Registration/check-in is at 1:30 p.m. July 2. The registration fee for commuter campers is $220 and $340 for overnight campers; overnight campers will have organized, nightly activities in the dorms. Sunday, July 5 – Friday, July 10 BOY’S BASKETBALL SUMMER CAMP Camp times are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. July 6-9, and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. July 10, at the Steinke Physical Education Center. The camp is for ages 7-17 years old and will stress the basic fundamentals of basketball. This is accomplished through defensive station drills, ball handling, shooting, rebounding and passing. Each camper will receive intensive individual instruction. The camp will also include team and individual contests. Games will be played in the mornings and in the afternoons.  Check-in for overnight campers is July 5, between 5-6 p.m.; check-in for day campers is 7:30 a.m. July 6. Day campers should be dropped off between 7:30-8 a.m. and picked up by 5 p.m.; pick-up for overnight campers is between 4-5 p.m. July 10. The registration fee, after June 20, for day campers is $220 and $400 for overnight campers; overnight campers’ registration includes meals and housing. Overnight campers will have supervised activities planned for each night, including swimming, shooting contest, game room/bowling or movies.
