Apply for jobs at Texas A&M-Kingsville online beginning Monday, Oct. 30
Beginning Monday, Oct. 30, Human Resources will begin using an online employment process that will replace paper applications. This new system will make applying for a job easier for job seekers and filling a job faster for hiring managers. After Oct. 30, check out the webpage at javjobs.tamuk.edu.
Advantages of the new system
- the ability to view the entire job description online
- a password protected file to maintain or update online employment application or update your online application
- search and apply for positions from any location at any time 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- answer job-related questions from the hiring supervisor to see who best fits the position
- email attached files like resumes, work samples or cover letters, to the hiring supervisors the day you apply online
- receive in-person service in English or Spanish at the Human Resources Office when access to a computer is needed
Job recruitment will be closed in Human Resources from Monday, Oct. 23, through Friday, Oct. 27, while the system is being set up. |

Three to receive distinguished alumni, rising star honors during homecoming

Fifth-grade student contributes rare dragonfly
When fifth grader Miranda Salinas found a dragonfly in her garage, she knew it was something worth taking to science class at Santa Gertrudis Elementary School and showing to her teacher, Jessica Hester. Choral director performs as featured soprano at Texas Tech
Dr. Noël Archambeault, director of choral activities and assistant professor of voice at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, took the stage of Hemmle Recital Hall at Texas Tech University (TTU) Sunday, Oct. 8, as featured soprano with the university’s symphony orchestra. Read more»

Composer’s work premieres at music festival
Texas A&M-Kingsville composer and professor of music Greg Sanders’ latest work, “Voices of the Wind” for solo percussion, audio and images was recently premiered by percussionist Marc Wooldridge at the Composer in the Community New Music Festival jointly hosted by the Iowa Composer Forum and Northwestern College, Sept. 30.
