McAllen native is crowned Miss Texas A&M-Kingsville

Lisa Marie Garcia, a junior business administration and marketing major from McAllen, was named 2006 Miss Texas A&M University-Kingsville during the pageant held Sunday, April 23. She will reign for a full year and will receive a $1,000 scholarship. In addition to receiving the queen’s title, Garcia also was named Miss Lantana. Read more»

 

Associate Professor Dr. Roberto L. Torres named a Fulbright Scholar, will serve in Mexico during 2006-2007

The J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FSB) has selected associate professor of bilingual education Dr. Roberto L. Torres of Texas A&M University-Kingsville as a Fulbright Scholar grantee to Mexico. Read more»
