Registrar Maggie Williams announced that certain segments of Banner are now active on campus. She said this is allowing admissions staff to streamline processes such as sending communications regarding admission. The office has been able to combine letters of acknowledgement and requests for missing information. In the past, employees had to manually check through letters to ensure that students did not receive communication with duplicated information. Williams said the process for updating the system (adding majors or degrees) has gone from something that could take up to a week to an instant change. Williams said more changes are in store as more segments of the Banner system “go live” on campus.
