In Memoriam

Maria A. Escamilla
Maria A. Escamilla, a retired custodian with Texas A&I University, died Aug. 18, 2004. She was 63.

Survivors include two daughters, Diana Cisneros of Kingsville and Dalia Smith of Murrieta, Calif.; a son, Ramon Daniel Escamilla of Kingsville; a sister, Anna Maria Wilson of Scottsbluff, Neb.; two brothers, Jose Antonio Figueroa of Kingsville and Fernando Figueroa of Bayou La Batre, Ala.; and three grandchildren.

Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Aug. 21 at St. Martin Catholic Church. Burial will be in Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.

Jack T. Harris Jr.
Jack T. Harris Jr., a retired analyzer operator for Exxon Co., a member of First United Methodist Church, a Mason, former president of the Kingsville Independent School District board, a member of the Kleberg County Appraisal District board of directors and the Javelina Booster Club, died Aug. 16, 2004. He was 68.

Survivors include his wife, Dona; two daughters, Pamela Cundiff of Kingsville and Paula Turcotte of Corpus Christi; a brother, Don Harris of Katy; and four grandchildren.

Services were Aug. 19 at First United Methodist Church. Burial is in Chamberlain Cemetery.
