The University Police Department has placed second in 2004 Best Police Vehicle
Design Competition. As a reward for placing second, a photo of the new
vehicle will be featured in the July issue of Law and Order magazine along
with the other winners.
As the second place winner, the department will receive a $200
cash prize that is given as a donation to a charity designated
by the University Police Department. They also will receive a specially
inscribed plaque. |

| The Kingsville Noon Lions recently awarded two $500 scholarships
to local high school students who will attend Texas A&M-Kingsville.
Lina Laura, Academy High School, and Jose Alfaro, H.M. King High
School, were recognized with certificates for their scholarships.

Music department hosts band, color guard, drum major summer camps

and high school band students have an opportunity to further their skills
and music appreciation by
attending a summer camp hosted by Texas A&M University-Kingsville’s
