It was the end of the college era, but the beginning of a new career and a bright future as 525 students received degrees from Texas A&M University-Kingsville during two spring commencement ceremonies held Friday, May 7, in the Steinke Physical Education Center. Texas Junior College sign joint admission agreement New Summer Hours With the exception of the University Police Department and certain maintenance and custodial crews, all offices should plan to work this schedule. Administrative offices are reminded that they should remain open during the lunch hour as required by System Policy 33.06. When applying for vacation, compensatory or sick time Monday through Thursday, the leave request form should indicate 9 hours for the entire day or the exact number of hours missed. For Friday, the leave request form would indicate 4 hours for the entire day or the exact number of hours missed. The state legislature authorizes a certain number of 8-hour holidays each year. Because Memorial Day, May 31, 2004, is a Monday, it will be necessary to work until 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 4, to complete the 40-hour workweek. If you have any questions regarding the summer hours, please call 593-3704. Relay for Life I would like to thank all the committee members who helped this year. I would also like to thank all the team captains who volunteered their time and energy for us. A big thank you to everyone who helped us during the Opening Ceremonies, the Survivor’s Ceremony, Luminaria Ceremony and all of the entertainment throughout the night. A special thanks to the Physical Plant employees for all the work they did to prepare and make this a special place for us. This exhibit features 20 full-color panels with nearly 200 artworks highlighted. The introductory panel features a photograph of the university’s Leaders of the Pack sculpture.
