Library Workshops
The staff of the Jernigan Library has set the schedule for its computer workshops for the spring semester. These workshops are open to all faculty, staff and students. All of the courses are held in room 123 on the first floor of the library. To reserve space in any of the workshops, call 593-3319.
A course entitled "Introduction to Documentation Styles" will be taught from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 6. Students will learn how to properly cite sources used in research.
"Introduction to XHTML and CSS" will be taught twice, the first from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, and the other from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 8. This workshop provides an introduction to extensible HyperText Markup Language (XHTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).

Saxophonist highlights 37th Annual A&M-Kingsville Jazz Festival
A performance by Bob Mintzer, saxophonist, composer and member of the award-winning jazz group the Yellowjackets, will highlight the 37th annual Texas A&M University-Kingsville Jazz Festival today and tomorrow, March 26-27. Mintzer will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday with the A&M-Kingsville Jazz Band I in the evening concert in Jones Auditorium. Admission to that concert is $7. read more»

The Special Programs department at Texas A&M University-Kingsville hosted the South Texas Science Olympiad for high school students today. This is the first time Texas A&M-Kingsville has hosted a Science Olympiad, a day designed to offer rigorous competitions through several events covering all areas of science. read more»

University loses one of its own
Dr. Olan Kruse, professor emeritus of physics, died Wednesday, March 25. Kruse provided more than 50 years of service to the physics department and was a loyal friend and benefactor to the university. read more»

Continuing through Tuesday, May 11 MUSEUM EXHIBIT entitled Preserving Memory: America’s Monumental Legacy, a touring exhibit telling the stories behind America’s outdoor sculpture. This exhibit features 20 full-color panels with nearly 200 artworks highlighted. The introductory panel features a photograph of the university’s Leaders of the Pack sculpture.
