Library Workshops
The staff of the Jernigan Library has set the schedule for its computer workshops for the spring semester. These workshops are open to all faculty, staff and students. All of the courses are held in room 123 on the first floor of the library. To reserve space in any of the workshops, call 593-3319.
Learn how to properly cite sources used in research in the Introduction to Documentation Styles workshop scheduled from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18.
A course entitled Introduction to Health Resources will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23. Those attending will learn to find and use health resources, including electronic databases and Internet resources.
Those who have previous experience with Power Point and want to learn more may want to attend Customizing your Power Point scheduled from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24.
Introduction to Electronic Searching will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24. Students will learn strategies for searching the Jernigan library’s online catalog and electronic databases.
A class in Electronic Resources in the Humanities and Social Sciences will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26. This course presents an overview of search strategies for the Jernigan Library’s electronic databases in the humanities and social sciences.

SACS representatives will be visiting the System Center in San Antonio on February 16-18. Dr. Carl Backman will be chairing the visiting team and the SACS representative will be Dr. Rudy Jackson.
