Library Workshops
The staff of the Jernigan Library has set the schedule for its computer workshops for the spring semester. These workshops are open to all faculty, staff and students. All of the courses are held in room 123 on the first floor of the library. To reserve space in any of the workshops, call 593-3319.
There will be two workshops in Introduction to Power Point. They will be taught from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, and Tuesday, Feb. 17. Students will learn the fundamentals, including how to create basic presentations, insert pictures and add simple animation.
Power Point: Tables and Graphs will be taught from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, for those who want to learn how to work with tables and graphs within presentations.
Learn how to properly cite sources used in research in the Introduction to Documentation Styles workshop scheduled from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18.
A course in Electronic Resources in Science and Engineering will be taught from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19. Students will get in introduction to online searching of technical information.
Those who have not done research for a while may be interested in the Library Refresher for Nontraditional Students set for 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19. This is an introductory course in conducting research using the Jernigan Library.

Dr. Kuruvilla John, associate professor and chair of environmental engineering for Texas A&M University-Kingsville, has been chosen by the Office of Governor Rick Perry and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to serve on the Governor’s Blue Ribbon Selection Committee for the 2004 Texas Environmental Excellence Awards. Visiting Gospel artists direct workshop and concert extravaganza
Gospel music notables William Heard and pianist Thomas W. Jefferson will be leading a 3-day gospel workshop from February 19-21 at the King Star Baptist Church, at 605 South 2nd Street in Kingsville, and at Jones Auditorium on the Texas A&M University-Kingsville campus.
