A&M-Kingsville Joins With China's Guilin University of Technology in Faculty/Student Exchange Program

Texas A&M University-Kingsville President Dr. Steven Tallant and representatives from the university’s Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering met with a delegation of administrators from the Guilin University of Technology (GUT) from Guangxi in the People’s Republic of China Friday, June 10, during the delegation’s visit to the university. While on campus, the delegation visited with faculty and staff from the College of Engineering, the College of Business Administration, the Center for Continuing Education and International Studies and Programs. As part of the visit, Tallant and GUT President Yanlin Zhao signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a student and faculty exchange program between the two institutions.
Established in 1956, GUT currently serves about 19,000 students and offers 59 undergraduate degrees and 35 postgraduate degrees.
