Gonzales is top child care professional

Vickie Gonzales, toddler master teacher at the Marc Cisneros Center for Young Children at Texas A&M University- Kingsville, was honored as the Texas Rising Star Child Care Professional of the Year at the banquet held May 5. This award is given to one child care professional each year. A committee reviews nominations and letters of recommendation from parents, fellow staff members and faculty. Gonzales has been the toddler master teacher at the Center for Young Children since 2001 and has received numerous awards and honors for her hard work and dedication. The center has been a Four-Star Certified Licensed Child Care Center since 2008.
