Texas A&M-Kingsville Music Department Shares Sounds of The Season During 5th Annual Christmas Concert

Get ready to fill your ears with holiday cheer during the 5th annual Texas A&M University-Kingsville Music Department Christmas Concert from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, December 2 at Jones Auditorium. The concert is the Department of Music’s gift to the community – the gift of Christmas music.
About 150 A&M-Kingsville music students, representing four different musical ensembles, will perform. These ensembles include: Concert Choir, Jazz Band I, Mariachi and the Wind Symphony. There will also be an “Audience Sing-Along” at the end of the program.
Admission is free.
The concert also serves as a benefit for the Toys For Tots campaign. Audience members are asked to bring new, unwrapped toys for the benefit of children in the community.
Musical selections will include some traditional Christmas carols, as well as new and clever arrangements of Christmas favorites. Musical selections will include: “Sleigh Ride”, “The Twelve Days of Christmas”, “Rhapsody on Christmas Carols”, “Jingle Bells”, “Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow”, “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch”, “Christmas Day-Choral Fantasy on Old Carols”, “The Twelve Days After Christmas”, “The Christmas Song” and “Hallelujah” from Handel’s Messiah: A Soulful Celebration.
