Astronomy Open House at Texas A&M-Kingsville Oct. 15 Focuses on Jupiter, Neptune, Star Clusters
KINGSVILLE (October 8, 2009) — Take a sharp view of some of the solar system’s biggest planets and brightest stars at the next Astronomy Open House at Texas A&M University-Kingsville at 8 p.m. Thursday, October 15.
Objects scheduled to be viewed include Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus and star clusters like M13.
The free public viewing will take place at the university’s 16-inch telescope in Lon C. Hill Hall. Parking is available behind the Memorial Student Union Building, on the corner of Santa Gertrudis Avenue and University Boulevard. Hill Hall is the aluminum-domed building adjacent to the parking lot.
