A&M-Kingsville Theatre Production Steel Magnolias
Follows Southern Women through Laughter and Tears

KINGSVILLE (February 14, 2008) — The celebrated comedy-drama Steel Magnolias will be performed from the stage of the Little Theatre at Texas A&M University-Kingsville Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 27-28 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 2 at 2:30 p.m.
The play, written by Robert Harling, follows the friendships among six Louisiana women and the many ups and downs they face together.
Admission is $3. Parking is available behind the theatre, located at 853 N. Armstrong.
Gabriel Villarreal, a Falfurrias senior majoring in radio-television broadcasting and theatre arts, directs the production. Bobby Villarreal, a Falfurrias freshman majoring in theatre arts, is stage manager.
The cast of Steel Magnolias includes the following students:
Cassandra B. Clarke, a Three Rivers sophomore majoring in theatre arts and Spanish, plays Shelby.
Lyn Sanchez, a Kingsville theatre arts alumna, plays M’Lynn.
Lindsay Ramos, a Falfurrias senior majoring in interdisciplinary studies and theatre arts, plays Truvy.
Christina I. Garcia, a Zapata junior with a major in theatre arts and a minor in art, plays Ouiser.
Jinnelle V. Aguilar, a Sandia senior majoring in theatre arts and sociology, plays Clairee.
Leslie Petros, a Corpus Christi senior majoring in human development and family studies, plays Annelle.
