President's Legacy Ball planned

Grady Gaines and the Texas Upsetters

KINGSVILLE (January 24, 2006) — Texas A&M University-Kingsville’s president and first lady, Rumaldo and Teresa Juárez, will host the President’s Legacy Ball Saturday, March 18, in the Grand Ballrooms of the Memorial Student Union Building.

The evening will feature dinner, dancing and a silent auction, and the unveiling of plaques for the Legacy Wall of Honor. The wall is a tribute to all individuals, families, corporations and foundations that have made cumulative donations of more than $100,000 to the university.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Grady Gaines and the Texas Upsetters, performing a host of musical styles.

The event chair is Teresa Juárez. The Legacy Society will honor the following with plaques: Albert and Margaret Alkek Foundation; Berdon Lawrence Family Foundation; El Coyote Ranch; Kleberg County Sheriff's Department; Mr. Larry Martin; Mr. George P. Mitchell; NACME Corporation, Inc.; Dr. and Mrs. Talmer Peacock; South Texas Academic Rising Scholars and the LaMantia Family; and Mrs. Louise S. Womack and the Womack Family.
