Dr. Michael Preda of Midwestern State University speaks on globalization in two free public lectures
KINGSVILLE (February 20, 2006) — The Texas A&M University-Kingsville Physics/Geosciences Brown Bag Lecture for February features Dr. Michael A. Preda of Midwestern State University speaking on the topic of globalization.
The Brown Bag Lecture will take place Tuesday, Feb. 28, at noon in room 119 of Hill Hall. The lecture title is “Globalization: My Personal Odyssey.”
Preda will then address the A&M-Kingsville political science department with a talk on “Globalization—More than Cliches: It is Not Just Good or Bad” at 2:30 p.m. in rooms 311 and 312 in Rhode Hall.
Both lectures are free and open to the public.
Preda is a professor of political science and coordinator of international studies at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, where he has been a faculty member since 1976. He has taught 20 university-level courses, with his primary field being international politics.
He is an alumnus of the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations Malone Faculty Fellow Program in Arab and Islamic Studies.
Preda holds a Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma, an M.A. from Texas A&M University-Commerce and a B.A. from Wayne State University.
