David Brott

Who I am

I earned my B.S. from Texas A&M-Kingsville quite late in life. I spent many years in broadcast television in North Texas at KFDX TV-3 starting as Chief Photographer and leaving as Director of Broadcasting Operations. In 1991, I changed career directions and went to work for the United States Air Force as a software developer and digital media specialist teaching aircraft maintenance. My organization (982d Field Training) had 600 Smart board equipped classrooms around the world.

What I Do at Texas A&M-Kingsville

I train and assist web site administrators to edit and provide new content to the for the TAMUK domain, www.tamuk.edu. Currently we have 227 administrators contributing content to over 4100 web pages. I do training at the requester’s location, by email or phone.

My Texas A&M-Kingsville Story

I moved to South Texas in 2008 to retire where to snow doesn’t fall. In 2010 I was honored to receive my Bachelors degree, Summa Cum Laude, in communication from Texas A&M-Kingsville. I take pride in having brought the first multi-camera web streaming of news, events and sports to the program in 2009. I love the campus and its people.
