FERPA Survey

Student privacy is protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA). As a result, institutions may publish or release certain directory information to the public unless the student desires to withhold all of this information and completes a request to keep directory information private.

Each institution establishes its own set of directory information based on federal guidelines. A FERPA taskforce at Texas A&M-Kingsville is considering revising the current directory information and will use this survey to gauge student opinions.
