KTAI-FM Fun Facts
The basics
We:
- broadcast in 100 watts, stereo
- are run by volunteer students
- are now over 40 years old
- broadcast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year from Manning Hall of Texas A&M University-Kingsville
- were started in 1969 inside a closet in the UCI physical sciences buildings
- began broadcasting at 10 watts in mono on 89.9FM
- help promote non-profit events with on-air PSAs

How you can you listen to us
On-air
We broadcast on 91.1MHz to the Kingsville, TX and AMK area. KTAI-FM can be heard in Bishop, TX and Riviera, TX.
Webcast
Since we have a comparatively limited signal, KTAI offers a high capacity webcast at 96kbps, CD-quality for those with fast connections and a 56kbps, High Definition stream for slow connections or people worried about using too much internet. This enables us to be heard anywhere in the world.
