Welcome to Texas A&M University-Kingsville!

Congratulations on your acceptance to the Javelina Nation! We're excited to have you join the Texas A&M-Kingsville community as a newly admitted student. The following information will help you gain access to the University community communication portal: JNET.

What is JNET?

JNET is the portal to the Texas A&M-Kingsville community where you may view and print your acceptance letter, register for New Student Orientation, apply for and accept your Javelina Scholarships, accept your financial aid, register for classes during New Student Orientation, apply for on-campus housing, and complete many other important enrollment tasks.

What will you need?

To create your password, you will need your Application ID, birth date, and the last four digits of your Social Security Number. For details on what you will need, please view the information in the menus located below.

The Applicant ID is the 8-digit number that begins with a K (for example, K12345678) assigned to you when you applied to the university. It can be found in the email correspondence from the Office of Admission or by logging into your Blue & Gold Connection.

The Student ID is the 8-digit number and letter combination that begins with KU (for example, KUABC123) assigned to you when you were accepted to the university. Texas A&M-Kingsville will provide the Student ID in an official email or you may claim your unique Student ID by following the steps below.

  • Next to Applicant/Faculty/Staff ID enter your Applicant ID number (i.e., K12345678) that was included in your email correspondence from the Office of Admission. (If you do not know your Applicant ID number, log onto your Blue & Gold Connection to retrieve it using your Social Security Number.)
    • You will use your birth date using six digits with no dashes (mmddyy). For example, if your birth date is December 15, 2001, you will use 121501.
    • Then, when you are ready, choose the “Next” button to continue.
    • In the next screen, you will verify your identity using the last four digits of your Social Security Number or the first two letters of your last name.
  • You will see your Student ID and University email address.
  • You will continue to use your Student ID to log in to JNET throughout your time at Texas A&M-Kingsville.

If you are not asked for your Social Security Number, you will be asked to provide the first two letters of your last name.

  • To create your password, read the requirements carefully as you will be expected to provide a unique password that follows specific criteria, including using upper and lower case letters, numbers, special characters, and length. Once you have the green light, you can choose “Create Your Password.”
  • Using your University username and your password you may now access the university community portal on JNET and your university email account.
