  1. Does A&M-Kingsville have a job line?
  2. Yes. The number is 361-593-3004. The recording is updated every Friday afternoon after 4:00 p.m.

  3. Can I fax my application and resume?
  4. Yes. Individuals may fax applications for posted job vacancies to meet a closing deadline. A letter of application stating the position of interest with a resume may also be accepted to meet deadlines. However, a TAMUK application will be mailed to you and the Human Resources Office must receive the original application with your signature before you may go on an interview.

  5. Can I e-mail my application and resume?
  6. Yes. However, this is only to meet deadline purposes. The Human Resources Office must receive an original TAMUK application before the candidate may go for an interview. (Please refer to question #2)

  7. Can I submit one application for multiple job vacancies?
  8. No. Texas A&M-Kingsville policies require individuals to submit a separate employment application and related documents for each posted job vacancy. Individuals may make copies of their employment application and submit copies for multiple TAMUK (however, copied application must have an original signature).

  9. Can the human resources office pull the application I previously submitted for another job posting and submit it on my behalf for a current posted job vacancy?
  10. No. It is the applicant’s responsibility to fill out a new application or submit a copied application with original signature. (Refer to #4)

  11. Do I have to take a typing test for clerical/secretarial positions?
  12. Yes. However, typing tests are only conducted if the applicant is selected for interviewing. human resources office will conduct the typing test prior to the interview. The same test document and equipment is used in order to maintain consistency and fairness to all who are tested. The hiring department determines a satisfactory score.

  13. Can I send an application/resume even though I’m not applying for a specific, posted job vacancy?
  14. No. We do not accepted unsolicited applications/resumes.

  15. How can I get a job description and/or employment application?
