Dr. Hyunsook Kang, Assistant Professor

Hyunsook Kang was born in Korea. A strong interest in family well-being, health behavior and aging, and life span human development brought her to Texas Tech University where she majored in Human Development and Family Studies as a doctoral student. Her doctoral work was completed at Texas Tech University in 2009.  She was an assistant professor at Southeastern Louisiana University in 2012-2013 and she joined the faculty at Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2013.

Research Interests and Teaching

Dr. Kang’s research interests involve all aspects of family well-being, both at the individual  level and at the  community level. For example, family health behaviors and aging issues, demographic diversities in family well-being.  Her teaching courses are Child/Adolescence development, Parenting, Family relations, and Aging issues in family.
