Careers in Human Development and Family Studies
Students in human development and family studies are prepared for positions of leadership in industry, government, business and teaching to name a few. Career opportunities exist within agencies, such as the Department of Human Services, cooperative extension, child care facilities and elder care facilities. Some possible careers for graduates include:
- Caregiver or administrator in a child care or elder facility
- Counselor in a child and family services agency
- Child life specialist in a hospital
