Careers in Fashion Merchandising

Fashion Merchandising students are prepared for a variety of careers in:

  • retail management
  • fashion buying
  • visual merchandising
  • retail and wholesale sales
  • product development
  • merchandise coordination

Opportunities are provided for students to gain valuable hands-on experience through participation in field trips, interaction with industry representatives at Fashion Group International's Dallas Career Day, and class assignments designed to include community service, travel study and practicum.

Students in our program also gain real world experience in the fast-paced fashion industry through domestic and international internships with companies such as Nordstroms, Luna Luz (New York), Javier Vicentes (Spain), Show One (China), and Muse.
