The Honors College has an open door policy. If you wish to meet the staff or the Dean, please call or stop by the office to make an appointment. If the student feels an urgent need to meet, every accommodation will be made to fast-track the meeting.

Dr. Dolores Guerrero, Dean and Associate Professor 
Dolores Guerrero received her Ph.D. from the University of Houston. She was appointed to the faculty at Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2002.
In July 2010, Dr. Guerrero was appointed the Founding Dean of the TAMUK Honors College.
She also holds the rank of Associate Professor in Social Work in the Department of Psychology & Sociology.

Sue Nichols, Assistant to the Dean 
Sue has a MBA in International Trade from Texas A&M International University. She started working at TAMUK’s Honors College in November 2010.
She is originally from Northern Michigan, has travelled a lot, and has lived (twice) in Germany.
Sue is an Army veteran, an international conference planner, editor, and has worked in Higher Education for over 20 years.
