Interfraternity Council (IFC)

IFC is the local governing body for social fraternities that are members of the North American Interfraternity Conference. The purpose of the IFC is the promote scholarship, leadership, service, and recruitment among member organizations.

  • There are 6 IFC fraternities at Texas A&M – Kingsville
  • The first national fraternity at TAMUK was Kappa Sigma in 1965
  • Sigma Chi Fraternity has been on our campus since 1967, making it our longest thriving Greek organization

College Panhellenic Council (CPC)

CPC is the governing body for the social sororities that are members of the National Panhellenic Conference. The purpose of the CPC is to foster Interfraternity relationships and to promote high scholastic and social standards.

Quick Facts

  • The first national sororities at TAMUK were Chi Omega and Zeta Tau Alpha each chartered in 1964
  • Kappa Delta Chi is an Associate Member of our Panhellenic Council
  • Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is also a recognized organization at Texas A&M – Kingsville
