The Office of Student Financial Aid at Texas A&M University-Kingsville strives to make your application process as smooth and as automated as possible. We have many scholarship programs for you in addition to the state and federal aid that is available. College and departmental scholarships also are available with certain qualifications. Almost all of the process can be done online.
We recommend that you apply for financial aid as soon as you apply for admission. Many forms of aid are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so apply for aid early! Our federal school code is 003639.
Information on financial aid and application forms can be found at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
You can electronically sign this application by using a PIN number that you can apply for at this website. Once you have received the student aid report from the Department of Education, you can check your status on the Blue & Gold Connection. Use your social security number as your ID and your birthday as your password. Follow the instructions on this website or go to http://www.tamuk.edu/finaid/Web_instructions.htm for instructions on completing your financial aid process.
You must apply for financial aid each year by using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). One application covers the fall/spring and summer semesters.
Applications are accepted throughout the year, but deadlines have been established in order to allow time for processing applications and financial aid packages.
For the fall semester, the FAFSA must be received by April 15.
For the spring semester, the FAFSA must be received by October 1.
For summer sessions, the FAFSA must be received by March 2. **
**For summer sessions ONLY, an institutional financial aid application is also required and due by March 2.
