Division of Finance and Administration

Our mission is to provide a wide variety of support services and financial stewardship to the entire academic community. Specific support services include Accounting, Business Services, Engineering and Campus Planning, Environmental Health and Safety, Facilities Administration, Human Resources, Payroll, Physical Plant, Procurement and General Services, and University Police.

In a more general sense, the division provides leadership and cooperative participation at all levels to ensure a safe, productive, financially sound, and culturally enriched academic environment.

University Facilities

University Facilities for Finance and Administration comprise the following operating units:  University Police Department, providing a safe environment for students, staff and faculty; Engineering and Planning, responsible for facilities and campus engineering, development and management; Risk and Compliance, responsible for environmental health and safety in establishing and maintaining an academic environment free of occupational hazards and compliance with environmental regulations; and the Physical Plant, charged with the physical maintenance, repair and upgrades of university facilities and grounds.

Human Resources

Human Resources is a pro-active partner with the University community providing direction and programs to achieve a work environment supporting the President's vision statement and consistent with the University System.

Payroll

Payroll provides assistance to the campus community regarding payroll schedules, tax and budget information.

Accounting Services

Provides services from travel, cashier services, inventory, accounts payable, and grant and contract accounting.

Procurement and General Services

The purchasing office procures all goods and services, maintains an inventory of goods common to instructional, research and service units; and provides printing and copying services in support of the mission of the University.

Tom Saban
Dr. Thomas Saban
Vice President for
Finance and Administration

Dr. Thomas D. Saban joined the university administration in time for the Fall 2007 semester. He holds a Ph.D. in Leadership and Education: Higher Education from Barry University in Florida. He earned an MBA from the University of Miami and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wyoming.
