Types of On-Campus Positions

Part-Time positions:

  • Available to all eligible students enrolled in at least half-time status.
  • Students must NOT work more than 19 hours* in any work week.

Work Study positions:

  • Available to students who have been awarded Federal or State work study at TAMUK (FAFSA required) and enrolled at least half-time. If you have been offered aid, log in to Blue & Gold Connection to view your financial aid awards.
  • A print out of your Blue & Gold financial aid screen showing your Work Study award MUST be provided when applying for a work study position.
  • Students must NOT work more than 19 hours* in any work week.

* Students workers are not allowed to work more than 19 hours in any work week. International students who work more than 19 hours per work week may be in violation of their visa status.

3641 Sports Information Student Sports Information Interested in earning money while watching Texas A&M University-Kingsville’s varsity sports teams and helping spread Javelina Pride?   The Sports Information Office is looking for work study students to work office hours and our home games. Office tasks may include writing stories, updating, interviewing student-athletes, archiving photos and other duties as assigned.  During our home games, students tasks might include playing music, running the scoreboard, spotting/inputting statistics, updating social media, controlling the live video stream camera and the streaming computer for events we video stream.  Preferred Skills/Training Student assistants should be responsible, dependable, detail-oriented, willing to learn and possess a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Word. Experience working with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign as well as video editing programs is a big plus. Must be available to work some nights and weekends. Previous experience working in athletic communications environment is highly desirable.
