Complaint and Appeal Procedure

Each employee of The Texas A&M University System has the right under the statutes of Texas to present a grievance concerning wages, hours of work, or conditions of work. Each employee will have free access through proper channels to the offices of immediate and higher supervisors as well as to the appropriate Human Resource Office to discuss problems and complaints.

Most problems or complaints can be resolved through discussions between an employee and the immediate supervisor. In those instances in which the employee's problem is such that a satisfactory solution cannot be provided by the supervisor, the employee may present a complaint in accordance with the complaint and appeal procedure of the System. Each Vice-President has the authority to appointment a review committee in those instances when such a committee is appropriate. For additional information, review (TAMUK Policy 33.01.02 K1.01).
