Retail sales, services topic of next business seminar Oct. 25

The next in the series of business seminars sponsored by the College of Business Administration at Texas A&M University-Kingsville will feature Dennis Dolce, owner of Delta Tire and Wheel in Corpus Christi, who will talk about Success Factors for Retail Sales and Services, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25 in room 218 of the Business Administration Building.

Dolce began his career in retail in 1973 when he entered the management training program for Sears, Roebuck and Co. He started as a tire salesman and was promoted through the automotive department until he got his first auto center two years later. By 1976, Dolce was promoted to the largest auto center in the district which he managed for five years.

After Sears, he managed six retail tire stores and three state wholesale tire operations in Tulsa. In 1982, he took a position as a general manager of 35 retail stores in nine cities in Texas.

In 1985, he purchased a retail tire store in Corpus Christi and built a second location in 1995. He has owned Delta Tire and Wheel for 25 years.
