Texas A&M University-Kingsville remembers September 11, 2001, through various activities and programs on September 11, 2002.

Flag Lowering Ceremony
A brief ceremony and moment of silence will bring the flag to half staff by order of the University President on the morning of September 11, 2002 at 7:30 a.m. The Texas A&M University-Kingsville ROTC Color Guard will preside at the ceremony.

Moments of Silence
At 9:05 am and 9:28 am, the times the towers fell, a moment of silence will be observed across campus and in classrooms. At 9:00 a.m. and at 9:23 a.m., just before the moments of silence, the chimes in the College Hall Bell Tower will be played.

Faces of America
A one-person dramatic production that highlights and celebrates the cultures of America. The performance was created after real-life interviews with hundreds of Americans and was originally produce in Los Angeles in 1995. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. with the program beginning at 8:00 p.m. A short presentation will then commence just before the curtain raises for Faces of America. Admission is free. Read more»

The College Hall bells are set to ring at 10, 11, 12, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, playing God Bless America.

Wall of Remembrance
In the Student Union Building, university community members may write their feeling about September 11. This Wall will be displayed at the Faces of America Program.

Kingsville Remembrances
The City of Kingsville is also holding several ceremonies of remembrance for September 11. Information on those events can be found in the Kingsville Record.
