Movement, music to be explored at A&M-Kingsville workshop

            KINGSVILLE (January 8, 2019) — Texas A&M University-Kingsville will be the site of a Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) workshop geared toward music educators, music teacher educators and college students. The workshop entitled Exploring Movement and Music through Orff Schuwerk will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, in the Rehearsal Hall of the Bellamah Music Building, 905 Engineering Ave.

 

            The professional development workshop will be presented by Dr. Rob Amchin, internationally renowned clinician. He will talk about using Orff-Schuwerk instruments and folk dancing in the classroom. The registration fee is $15 for TMEA members, $5 for student non-members, $20 for non-members and free for student TMEA members.
