Final episode featuring wildlife, agriculture to air on RFD-TV

Faculty from the Dick and Mary Lewis Kleberg College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Human Sciences at Texas A&M University-Kingsville will be featured on a final episode of the television show Out on the Land on the national cable network RFD-TV.

The final episode will air at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28 and will feature research by members of the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute (CKWRI) on ocelot and waterfowl. Dr. Allen Rasmussen, dean, will talk about the college and the university.

The majority of the episodes featuring Texas A&M-Kingsville and the CKWRI aired in the summer and fall of 2013. The host of the show, Dr. Larry Butler, said the show has had an estimated eight to 10 million viewers and many positive comments. 

Out on the Land is a 30-minute program that airs at 6 p.m. Tuesdays and again at 8 a.m. Wednesdays. In Kingsville, the station is only available on DirecTV channel 345 and Dish Network channel 231.
