Blackboard Connect portal, Emergency Notification System

Dear Students, Staff, and Faculty,
Texas A&M University-Kingsville is pleased to announce the launch of our Blackboard Connect portal web site! This new tool will enable you to manage your contact information right from your own computer. It's important to have accurate contact information on file at the university because this will allow us to keep you informed about campus safety issues, weather situations and other emergencies.
Creating a portal account is an easy process that is similar to the sign up process for popular website services such as Facebook and Google. For a complete Emergeny Notification Portal Instructions click here (pdf format).
You can access the new portal by typing the following URL into the web browser on your computer: https://bbctamuk.bbcportal.com/ or click here.
State law mandates that we provide an emergency notification system for our students and employees and it is an important part of our communication with you. However, you have the option to opt out from this system. If you wish not to receive emergency notifications please log into the Connect Portal and remove your contact information. Please remember that opting out means that you will not receive important information should a campus emergency occur.
We are very excited to launch our new portal and invite you to visit our new site and take control over your notification preferences.
