Senior Exercise Science/Pre-Physical Therapy major Ricky Balderas (Bishop, TX) has been named the 2011 Undergraduate Scholar by the Texas Regional Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine (TACSM). Balderas will receive this award at the 2011 TACSM Annual Meeting in Austin on February 25, 2011. Read more.
This is the second year in a row that anundergraduate from Texas A&M-Kingsville has received this prestigious award which recognizes a single outstanding undergraduate in the exercise sciences from one of the universities in Texas each year . Dyana Bullinger, HKN alumna and the 2010 TACSM Undergraduate Scholar, is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at Texas Woman’s University. Balderas, who will graduate with honors in May, has been granted unconditional early admission to the highly regarded Doctor of Physical Therapy program at UTMB-Galveston, and will begin that program in Fall, 2011.

HKN has launched it's new website. The new website has been designed to integrate with the format of the overall University web, which was redesigned in October fo 2010.
