Disability Resource Center

The Disability Resource Center (DRC) is designed to accommodate a diverse student population within a holistic perspective, in order to achieve their educational potential, promote healthy lifestyles, and maintain optimal physical and mental health.  DRC strives to be responsive to student needs by providing services and reasonable accommodations that aid in the student’s academic success and provide support for students. DRC at Texas A&M University-Kingsville exists to ensure that students with disabilities participate in the full range of college experiences.  Our goal is to promote optimal development and achievement in all students while fostering independence and self-advocacy.  We work to promote an environment that is free of physical and attitudinal barriers.

Program Accessibility

Disability Services are administered through Student Affairs at Texas A&M University-Kingsville (TAMUK) and seeks to assist students with disabilities in gaining equal access to all university programs. DRC does not diagnose disabilities. However, students may contact the DRC office for assistance in obtaining a referral to a qualified professional in the surrounding area.
