Location of the new Honors College
Phase II construction of another suite-style residence hall will begin
in fall 2010. The new residence hall, named Honors College Residence Hall,
will be open to students for the fall 2011 semester. The 98,000 square
foot building will have room for 300 beds and house the university's new
Honors College and offices.
The residence hall will be located on Avenue B north of the newly-constructed residence hall, University Village.
The architect for the project is BOKA Powell, the firm that designed
Texas Stadium, home to the Dallas Cowboys. They also have designed
residence halls at Texas Tech, University of Texas at Arlington,
University of Texas at El Paso and University of Texas at San Antonio.
The general contractor is SpawGlass.
