Vision

Research shows there is a direct correlation between on-campus living, higher GPAs and higher student retention. The vision represented in the master plan reflects that research and is grounded in a rigorous examination of existing priorities defined during an initial analysis phase. The priorities defined include academic, athletic and student life. The key outcomes of the analysis are:

Mind (academic priorities):

1. Renovation / Addition to Music Building
2. Vet Tech Building–North Farm
3. Agricultural Building
4. Pharmacy Building (TAM-HSC)
4. Kinesiology Building
5. Engineering Building
6. Technology Learning Center
10. General Classroom Building

Body (athletic priorities):

1. Stadium Improvements (press box, premium seating)
2. End Zone Complex

Spirit (student life priorities):

GOAL: 40% On-Campus Residents of 8,000 FTE

1. Phase 2 & 3 Senior Apartments (600 beds)
2. Phase 4 Freshman Housing (400 beds)
3. Renovate Existing Student Center for “One-Stop Shop”
4. New Student Union
5. Close University Blvd. and Engineering Ave. (this may require a parking garage)
