Current Research: Synthesis of nanoparticles using various noble metals, with the ultimate dream of producing a low temperature SOFC.  I am fascinated with all aspects of Biomass and “green fuel” sources

Best Advice Ever Received:   "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.”

Hobbies: bike riding, snorkeling/scuba diving (but when is there time for it?), repairing everything that gets broken at my home and watching the old “Little Rascals” shows .

What influenced you to study Chemistry: My high school chemistry teacher turned me off to Chemistry.  It’s taken me 30 years to recover and I never would have come back if I hadn’t taken Chemistry classes here at TAMUK.
