ADOBE (A Doctoral Organization in Bilingual Education)

The purpose of this organization is to support doctoral students in the Bilingual Education program at Texas A&M University – Kingsville by establishing communication networks relating to program requirements and activities, publications, research trends, conferences, and job opportunities. Activities include: research ideas exchange via informal meetings and formal conferences, program and personal support to fellow doctoral students, guest lectures and presentations by experts in the field, publication support for doctoral student research, outreach activities to doctoral students and faculty of other universities, and fund-raisers to support ADOBE activities.

Extended activities include:  research ideas exchange via informal meetings and formal conferences, program and personal support to fellow doctoral students, guest lectures and presentations by experts in the field, publication support for doctoral student research, outreach activities to doctoral students and faculty of other universities, and fund-raisers to support ADOBE activities. The organization takes an active role in the Annual Bilingual Conference at the TAMUK (Texas A & M University of Kingsville).
