Student Spotlight

"Between my junior and senior year in high school, I studied abroad in Brazil. This experience has shaped my life and career aspirations into wanting to work internationally, specifically in business and law. Last semester I took an international business course and realized the area that I want to concentrate in for my career.  My inspiration came from a class project in which I had to expand an American company into another country, working through both legal and cultural issues.  I now know that I would like to work in international corporate law and be the go-to person/liaison for American companies to their partnering countries."

"Although I am passionate about my professional goals, the aspiration I hold most dearly is to give back. Coming from a low income family in South Texas, I have experienced unbelievable amounts of generosity from working adults ever since I was a young Girl Scout, and even now as an undergraduate. Needless to say, without them I would not be where I am today.  I look forward to giving opportunities for hard-working students of the upcoming generations: to study, to have life-changing experiences, and to learn the importance of individualism and leadership. I am excited to pay it forward because I know that, given the opportunity and tools, these youth will have a huge impact on our community, our state, our country, and our world."
