Dr. Carol Sullivan Joins the College of Business Administration as Chair of Accounting and Finance

The College of Business Administration is proud to welcome Dr. Carol Sullivan as Chair of Accounting and Finance. Sullivan comes to us from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, her hometown. She earned all of her degrees (BBA-Accounting, MS- Business Computing Science, and PhD- Accounting) from Texas A&M University. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). She has published articles in several journals and is a Managing Editor of The Journal of Business and Accounting. Carol  teaches essentially all of the Accounting curriculum courses and won an Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Teaching Excellence award in 2012 which recognizes the significance of the classroom teacher to the mission of degree-granting institutions. ACBSP is the only specialized accrediting body for business schools that presents an award recognizing excellence in teaching open to the entire membership. In terms of service, Dr. Sullivan has worked with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program  for several years and recently won a “Keep Texas Beautiful” award for her “Weekly Wonder Worker” group that helped clean up the Fort Worth community. Carol enjoys travel, reading, sports and renovating historic homes in her spare time.
