BUSCORE (Business Core)
The BUSCORE is the 32-credit common body of courses taken by all business majors.*
PRINCIPLES OF ACCOUNTING I (ACCT 2301) (Financial) Must be taken prior to admission to the College of Business Administration. Most students take during their sophomore year, however, accounting majors should take during their freshman year.
PRINCIPLES OF ACCOUNTING II (ACCT 2302) (Managerial)
Must be taken prior to admission to the College of Business Administration. Most students take during their sophomore year.
BUSINESS WRITING (BCOM 2206)
Minimum sophomore standing.
BUSINESS PRESENTATIONS (BCOM 2207)
Open to freshmen and sophomore. Must complete Business and Professional Communication
(COMS 1315) prior to taking the course.
PRINCIPLES OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS (ISYS 2302)
Must be taken prior to admission to the College of Business Administration. Most students take during their sophomore year.
DIVERSITY IN THE WORKPLACE (BUAD 3100)
Completion of at least 45 credits. Can be taken prior to admission to the College of Business Administration.
BUSINESS ETHICS (BUAD 3101)
The issues, challenges, and opportunities business leaders face in managing employee ethical behavior as they perform their professional responsibilities and communicate with customers are discussed.
BUSINESS LAW (BUAD 3211)
Completion of at least 54 credits. Can be taken prior to admission to the College of Business Administration.
BUSINESS FINANCE (FINC 3321)
Minimum junior standing. Admission to the College of Business Administration required.
ORGANIZATIONAL THEORY AND HUMAN BEHAVIOR (MGMT 3311) Completion of at least 54 credits. Admission to the College of Business Administration required.
PRINCIPLES OF OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT (MGMT 3351) Completion of at least 54 credits. Admission to the College of Business Administration required.
PRINCIPLES OF MARKETING (MKTG 3325) Minimum junior standing. Admission to the College of Business Administration required.
STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT IN A GLOBAL BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT (MGMT 4390)
Admission to the College of Business Administration required. Must complete all other BUSCORE courses prior to enrollment. Capstone experience for the College of Business Administration majors.
*Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Management, and Marketing Note 1: Students will be required to test out of or complete the Business Writing Fundamentals program prior to or concurrently with BCOM 2206.
