2010-2011:  Graduate Committee - UW-La Crosse: Served as member of the Graduate Committee for most of my twenty-two years at UW-La Crosse, and chaired the Graduate Committee in the academic years ending in 1999, 2001, 2004, 2006-2010, plus the fall of 2010.

2014:  Honorary Degree Committee Chair: Committee chose to forward the name of Dr. Lauro F. Cavazos, who grew up in Kingsville and went on to serve in the Secretary of Education in the Reagan and George W. H. Bush administrations.

Editor: Associate Editor 

2011 – 2013:  Journal of Finance Issues, Chicago, Illinois.  Elected, 2012-2114 term. Responsible for Proceedings of the Academy of Finance during each of the years. Also, responsible for second review of manuscripts, verifying that revisions are consistent with the dictates of initial reviewer and expectation of Journal of Finance Issues when initial reviewers is unable to conduct second review. Four manuscripts were reviewed, with three being approved for presentation: (1) Impact of EVA Adoption on Long-term Shareholder Value: An Empirical Investigation, (2) A Study of Microfinance in China: Trends, Impacts, Challenges, and Opportunities, and (3) An Evaluation of the Stock Price Announcement Effect of Seasoned Equity Offerings. Rejected manuscript: Can Grade Inflation in Prerequisites affect Students' Performance in Business Finance? because an objective measure of grade inflation was not provided. 

2011: Journal of the Academy of Finance, Chicago, Illinois.  Elected, 2012-2114 term. Responsible for Proceedings of the Academy of Finance during each of the years. 


Service to the Community  

Chair of a Committee 

2015: Stewardship & Finance Committee at First Baptist Church Kingsville,  The Stewardship and Finance Committee is responsible for the annual budget ($700,000), monthly formal review of the financial report and expenditures, assisting in the distribution of literature and related educational measures to inform membership concerning proper methods of stewardship and finance, and overseeing the selection and operation of the teller team.  The Stewardship and Finance Committee calls for budget recommendations from each church committee and ministry team.  During the annual budget planning period, proper levels of funding for the coming year are identified and presented to the church body.  In addition to financing church operations, the Committee oversees the contribution of over $100,000 annually to missions.
